Monochrome Portrait of Man with Glasses & Watch

A striking black and white close-up portrait captures a man with dark, wavy hair and a beard, wearing black-rimmed glasses and a black turtleneck, resting his head on his crossed arms. He gazes directly at the viewer with a thoughtful expression, showcasing a minimalist wristwatch with a leather strap on his right wrist.

Teksthandleiding

I'm looking for an intimate, contemplative fine art editorial portrait of a male subject, late 20s to early 30s, with short, voluminous hair and a short stubble beard. He should have a calm, introspective, slightly melancholic expression, making direct eye contact. The style is a high-contrast monochrome, with a fine film-like grain, leaning into cinematic portraiture and photorealistic detail.

For composition, let's do a vertical, tight close-up, head-and-forearms crop, with his head resting on crossed forearms. Eyes should be near the upper third. We'll use soft directional studio lighting from camera-left, diffused with moderate-to-high contrast, creating defined facial shadows and subtle highlights on his face and a dark leather wristwatch. Shoot with an 85mm short telephoto prime lens at f/2-f/2.8 for a shallow depth of field, ensuring sharp facial focus against a smooth, featureless mid-gray background.
