How to Use Seedance 2.5: Build a Clear Shot Brief Before Generating
Select Seedance 2.5 in a service that provides it, prepare one manageable shot, assign a purpose to each reference, and check settings and cost before generating. Review the result against your brief before extending the sequence or making variants.
This is a planning and review workflow. The examples below are original, untested inputs, not a claim that we generated the described videos.
1. Write the acceptance criteria first
Before writing a long prompt, answer five questions:

2. Prepare references with distinct roles
Use a clear product photo for appearance and a separate image for the desired scene only if the selected service supports those inputs. State what each reference controls. Avoid asking one image to establish conflicting lighting, identity and movement.
If you need a scene concept first, prepare it in yeha Text to Image. For changes to an existing image, use yeha Image to Image. Inspect any generated reference before passing it into a video workflow; an incorrect label should not become your visual starting point.
3. Try one explicit shot
Illustrative prompt, not executed:
A single product bottle stands on a matte pale-blue surface. Use the supplied product image for its appearance. The camera slowly moves closer; the bottle remains stationary. Soft light comes from the left. Leave clear space above the bottle for a caption added later. Do not add other objects or new label text. Use quiet room ambience and no spoken dialogue.
Select a duration, aspect ratio and audio option that the service actually offers. Prompt text does not unlock an unsupported setting. Confirm the exact model and displayed charge before submitting.
4. Review the whole clip
Check the opening, middle and ending, then watch the full clip. Look for identity changes, unexpected objects, discontinuous movement and audio that conflicts with the action. Record the settings and whether the output passed your original criteria.
If the camera behaves incorrectly, change the movement instruction. If the product changes, revisit the reference and simplify the scene. Change one variable at a time where practical so you can understand what improved the result.
5. Request a bounded revision
For an unwanted object, an illustrative revision brief is: “Between [start] and [end], remove the extra object on the right; preserve the product and camera motion.” Only use this as an edit request if the interface supports that operation. Otherwise, use a separate editor or regenerate with a revised brief.
